About Collinsville

Collinsville is an important coal mining town west of Bowen in North Queensland. The mining potential of the area was not realised until the 1860’s when coal, gold, silver, lead, bismuth and gemstones were discovered. As well as mining, Collinsville supports a significant beef and cattle industry. This friendly town prides itself on its hospitality, ranging from spotlessly clean public amenities and clear, well signed services to its amiable townsfolk. Collinsville is an interactive community, perfect for a young family or a social couple.
