Babinda is a small sugar town situated in far north Queensland, just south of Cairns. The town sits in the protection of Mt Bartle Frere – Queensland’s tallest peak at 1611m – on the edge of rainforest covered Bellenden Ker National Park. As one of Australia's wettest towns, tropical beauty surrounds Babinda: gorges, waterfalls and tropical vegetation abound.
