Rockhampton Hospital, (Central Queensland Health Service District)

The Rockhampton Base Hospital offers patients a range of services including emergency medicine, anaesthetics, radiology and ultrasound, specialist outpatient department, rehabilitation, renal, coronary care, intensive care, palliative care and chemotherapy, surgery, ENT, general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, opthalmology, and paediatrics (including neonatal).

The Queensland Government has planned a $47.95 million redevelopment for the Rockhampton Base Hospital to include:

  • emergency department
  • oncology services
  • paediatric ward
  • rehabilitation ward and services
  • outpatient clinic
  • new ward block
  • improved oncology services
  • new MRI machine
