Queensland Health provides attractive remuneration packages for medical practitioners. The documents below provide details of packages available to medical officers.They provide details of both the bottom and top of each pay scale.
It is important to note that there are increment levels between the bottom and top levels in each pay scale (please see Clause 2.5 of the Agreement below).

Salary sacrificing or salary packaging is an arrangement which allows you to deduct some of your pre-tax salary and use it to pay for benefits such as rent or mortgage repayments, insurances, motor vehicle operating expenses, travel expenses and more.
By reducing your pre-tax income, you reduce the amount of income tax that you pay, and therefore increase the amount of pay that you take home each fortnight.
Your own personal circumstances will determine whether you can benefit from salary sacrificing. It is always advisable to review your situation with a financial adviser.
