Logan Hospital (Metro South Health Service District)

Logan Hospital is a 338 bed hospital comprising a new ward block, emergency services, clinical services block, and refurbished wards.

Queensland Health works with other health care providers in the district to ensure the best possible health care choices to the people of Logan.

Health care services offered at Logan Hospital include; emergency medicine, general medical and surgical services that incorporate obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopaedics, ear, nose and throat, paediatrics, respiratory medicine, neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, renal dialysis, anaesthetics, specialist outpatients clinics, oral health, pathology, medical imaging, allied health services, pharmacy, mental health services and palliative care.      

The Queensland Government has planned a major $73.7 million upgrade to Logan Hospital to include:
  • extra emergency department beds including paediatric bays
  • endoscopy relocated
  • day oncology and renal services relocated
  • specialist outpatient clinics relocated
  • satellite pharmacy relocated
  • a new mental health wing will provide 25 additional acute beds
